Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I am new to this site.

Hello everyone, I was referred to this site from a gaming forum because I asked about buying a desktop PC for gaming and everyone advice against that. Instead I was told to build my own desktop. So I did a bit of research, parts hunting and searching and came up with these possible builds.

Intel Builds & AMD

Processors:
Intel Core i5 4440s - $198.99
Intel Core i5 4570 - $199.99
Intel Core i5 4670. - $219.99
Intel Core i5 4670k - $239.99
AMD FX-6300 - $119.99
AMD FX-8150. - $179.99

GPUs:
Geforce GT 640 @ 2GB DDR3 VRam - $79.99 - $99.99
Radeon HD 7750 @ 2GB DDR3 - $119.99
Radeon R7 250 @ 1GB DDR5 - $99.99

Motherboards:

Intel: Asus Z87-Plus Pro - $159.99
Intel: Asus Z87-K - $129.99
AMD: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0: $79.99/$89.99
AMD: Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0: $119.99 /$139.99
AMD: Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0: $124.99AMD:

RAM:
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB @1.6GHz - $64.99

HDD:
WD 2TB - $99.99

PSU:
Antec TR2 @600W - $59.99

Case:
Enermax (forgot the name) - $35

This is all from Fry's Electronics next to my gfs house, so free shipping obviously as I will get the parts in store.

The thing I want to do is build a Gaming and School PC on a $500-$600 budget, $700 being the max stretch. I know the GPUs I chose suck, but I want something entry level. I don't want to skimp out on the CPU, motherboard, and everything else. I also don't need it to be the ultimate gaming machine. I can always upgrade the GPU later.

Also I don't think I chose the best motherboards for the buck. I really need help on that. Also I have 2 optical drives at home from my very old desktop(Win XP).

Well what PSU should I get? I was told that anything around 500-600 watts would be fine for a gaming PC. I don't plan on building the ultimate PC.

$30 over your $600 range, but you get a solid GPU for 1080P gaming. You can overclock the CPU a good bit, though if you choose to do so you need an aftermarket cooler, like the CM Hyper 212 EVO.
