I have two PCs. My first one cost me around $900 and I've upgraded it incrementally to the point where it would be about a $1700 build. My work PC cost me about $1100 and I've upgraded it incrementally as well and I'm actually going to upgrade the motherboard to X79 and the CPU to an i7-3820 as soon as I can find a good deal on one. You can see the specifications of both of my rigs in my signature.
