How can i tell if my parts are not working correctly?

My PC freezes from time to time and I think it might be due to a faulty mobo or HDD but how can I be sure.

The folk here are willing to help you, but will need some details about your setup. System freeze or lockup can be caused by an incredible number of things. Faulty MB or HD is usually near the bottom of the list. Software and BIOS settings are usually near the top of the list.

The are some *very* knowledgeable folk here who can readily solve any problem if they have the details.
