Monitor with built in speakers and connecting with dual link dvi

I am getting a monitor with built in speakers and I will be connecting the monitor to my graphics card with dual link dvi and I am wondering how I will get sound to my monitor? If I plugged in an hdmi into the monitor as well could I use the sound from that but the visual from the dual link dvi?

the monitor probably has a audio input port for a 3.5mm jack, get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and come from the speakers out on your soundcard or motherboard, and plug that into the monitor.
