Display port is currently the best way HDMI if sound is needed for Monitor speakers DVI-D is the same as HDMI but with no sound If the monitor resolution is 2560x1440p and above then Display port or DVI Dual link is the best way. The monitor that you are choosing has no speakers or display port connection so I would go with DVI-D or DVI-I
