I am building my first gaming rig, and was wondering if I should get a 2ms TN Pachard bell monitor or a 5ms IPS Acer monitor?

The TN monitor if you can't tolerate the slightest input lag or ghosting.

The second Acer IPS if you want brilliant colors.

First Acer monitor is open box, likely used, and appears to have a glossy screen which is a no-no.

So which one would you suggest getting? I don't mind colours or speed as 5ms is not much difference to 2. Or are there any better for that price? I'm on a tight budget. Thanks

I suggest the 2nd Acer monitor as once you've seen the better colors, there's no way you will go back to TN.

Although I don't know the prices of all monitors available to you, at least I know the Acer one is of very good value.

Ok I think I will go for the acre one then as I need to order today and I can find any other 23' IPS 5ms monitors for less than that and acer are a trusted brand I assume
