Hi guys!

I'd like to ask your help as a first-time builder. I've chosen some parts and would like feedback before I make the big purchase. I see lots of posts asking for 60fps on games, that doesn't matter too much to me. I'd take 30 even.

Approximate Purchase Date: This week

Budget Range
: 850 After Rebates; After Shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important
: AutoCAD Civil 3D, gaming, watching videos, menial tasks

Are you buying a monitor
: No

Parts to Upgrade: Everything

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Anything in Canada (newegg, ncix, memory express, tiger direct)

Location: Richmond, BC, Canada (Beside Vancouver)

Parts Preferences
: None

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1280x1024, possibly larger later or additional monitor

Additional Comments: Doesn't have to look good. No specific games, but newer 3d ones on medium would be nice. AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit will be used.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My poor old DV6-3134ca laptop is dying (constant blue screens related to video card) and it doesn't run things as well as I would like it to. I can finally afford to upgrade.

I see that the M5A97 has an ethernet port - do I not need a wired network card then?

Thanks for the help!

Edit: The price has gone up to $900 in Canada :( Too expensive for me

I'm sorry about that, here how about this one.

I just change the GPU and Case it, R9 270x is plenty enough for gaming you can even play bf4 on ultra with that GPU. you wont have any problems with autocad too.
