Never buying XFX again after the 7970 fiasco. What a bad brand, costumer support is a copy paste joke!
Id rather have Asus passive cooled cards or nothing at all!

It's too bad that the best low profile card of the new R7/R9 batch is the 250, and it is about 2/3s the performance of the previous gen's low profile 7750. I still might consider the 240 for very small HTPC that has to be silent, but I'd rather have a 7750 or a larger card on a riser.

If we changed materials used in R9 290x from Copper to Stanene or Graphene
We wouldn't even need passive cooler, so it’s achievable!

I've got a semi-built console sized PC I've been hoping to finish, and a dual-height low profile card should fit well in the space; I could use one with fan of course but a passive card should work just fine with the cooling I'm going to use.

I just wonder how it will compare to the Sapphire Low Profile Radeon HD 7750 I was original going to put in (non-passive)?

That is why they under clocked them to keep it cool with passive heat sinks.

Great looking cards. Should fit the bill for HTPC nicely.
