How will this CPU and GPU be like for gaming?

I am prepping my first PC build and I wanna make sure I get a machine that can do what I want it to do no problem. There's no point saying what i have now so I am upgrading to:

AMD FX-6300
Sapphire Radeon R9 280X
8GB Kingston Hyper-X (2x4) 1600MHz
Asus M5A97
2TB internal HDD
128GB SSD
650W Corsair 80+ Gold
Corsair Carbide 300R Mid-Tower
TP-Link USB network adapter because it's easier than having a PCI adapter

I want to play the latest titles on either High or Ultra at 1080p such as Battlefield and Crysis.

Youll be just fine however.. which Corsair PSU are you using exactly? the CX,HX, etc?

anyway your build is perfectly fine however if your gaming on 1080p I'd suggest the GTX 770 instead

P.S a
are you buying the 280Xs at the price rise? where they are around $420? if so do not buy it, if you're willing to pay that price it would be better to get the GTX 770 4GB

The Corsair is a Corsair CS650M Modular 650W ATX PSU and what makes the GTX 770 better? I will game at 1080p yes.

what makes the 770 better? no clue lol. However the benchmarks prove so, there are hundreds of benchmarks with the 280X and 770 and the 770 always beats it by far or by a small amount in 1080p benchmarking. IF you were to buy the 4GB one getting the 280X would be pretty stupid.

However! the 280x has a much faster bandwith which is why it performs better at high resolutions like 2k
