Hello, I am looking for a monitor for my first gaming rig, I have been debating over a 60Hz and a 120-144Hz monitor. I eventually decided to get a 144Hz because with my old monitor I have was easily reaching 80FPS average on BF4, and I wanted to get all the FPS I was supposed to be getting, not what I was truly getting because the monitor has a refresh rate of 60Hz. I didn't want to spend over $250, but I was willing to go over if need be. I found this Asus monitor, suiting all of my needs, it even has 3D capability. But the problem is, my don't believe my system is capable of 3D. Will this cause problems with my PC?
Here is my build:
CPU - AMD Fx-8320
GPU - Asus R9 280x DCii
Motherboard - Asus M5A97 LE r2.0
RAM - G.Skill RipJaws 8GB (2x4)
Storage - SeaGate 240GB SSD
OS - Windows 8.1
Also, do you think this is a good monitor for a gaming build? Thank you in advance! Also, any kind of recommendations would be appreciated (as long as it is under $300, preferably under $275)

You just won't be able to use 3D, but the monitor will function normally for 144hz...or at least 120hz. I have seen some AMD users having troubles with the 144hz refresh rate, but they all seem to be fine at 120hz.

You may also prefer 120hz with Lightboost, which removes motion blur. http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost/

There is a hack to make it work on AMD.
