I was wondering if someone could confirm or deny that Mantle will work with the R9 280x, I'm guessing so but not 100% sure.. it seemed they bundled this card with BF4 too.

Also hesitating with those 2 graphic cards, but the Amd one looks more tempting.. 40 bucks cheaper here, more RAM, and possibly mantle support ? (BF4 gonna be the main game I'm upgrading for.. and also Crysis 3 lol but that's not my priority at the moment)

GV-R928XOC vs GTX770-DC2OC both gygabites to be exact, ps : did they went crazy on the prices ?? 310 swiss bucks for the 346 for the next (add a couple for $) I was browsing the graphic cards and stumbled accross these awesome cards,

It would be nice to see a benchmark comparing those 2, would make a nice clash.

Yes the 280X does have mantle support

And the prices for AMD cards are currently inflated because of Bitcoin/litecoin minners.

If you can wait for the prices to come back down grab the 280X

Yes, the 280X supports Mantle but not True Audio.. The 770 is slightly(2-5%) better than the 280X in most games but in BF4 280X beats it by a very small margin. But comparing their prices the 280X is much better..

Yea it does seem the 280x would offer the best bang for the buck ! 3Gb too.. mmh mantle lol, they made everything to tempt me with that card ! only thing I don't like about it is the fact it's just a 7970 rebranded /with slightly better performance, feel almost tempted to save some and just for the 290.. for 100 bucks more (400 ish) you get near titan performance not bad... yea I think I probably gonna do that..

I'd just hope my spikes are gone after I upgrade my CPU/MOBO/RAM and keep my hd5870, cause then I would have regret not getting a cheaper cpu (i've been looking into it, also have a thread about that, the FX- 6300 got freaking good performance for 120$.. very tempting that with a 100 mobo or so and it's gg I could even buy a 280x !)
