Is pairing two monitors with different size and resolution possible?

I am planning to buy a new desktop and new monitors. I want a 27-inch display with 1440p and my favorite is the ASUS PB278Q. I plan to use this for everything but gaming. But I also need a dedicated gaming monitor and my favorite is the ASUS VG248QE. I know that they have different size and resolution, so my question is: is it possible to pair them?

yes it is possible. i've currently hooked up a 1080p 32'and a 24'1080p ofc a 1080p and a 1440p will work as well

yeah you can just go to adjust screen resolution if youre on windows

Yes, though you wont be able to game across them unless you lower them both to a common resolution. Extended desktop works just fine, at one point I was running three screens of dissimilar resolution.

Why do you want to get a monitor just for gaming on? Theres no reason not to game on your 1440p.
