Both card exchange blows depending on the game, but overall the 770 is slightly faster and more power efficient, which means it can run cooler more easily. The toxic huilun posted is probably the best 280x you can get, for the 770, evga's acx cooler, MSI twin frozr, ASUS DirectCU II and Gigabyte windforce are all worth considering for 770.

both are good but the 770 2 gb hold u back in games with higher resolution because of 2gb vram whereas 280x will saill through easily. no doubt the 770 is a beast card but in the end it also depends on your mobo, games, settings etc

Yeah , I will play some bf4 and I know the 280x is better for bf4 but I will play alot of other game in the future so idk ...

Don't buy one of the two cards because of mantle or the game you play the most runs 3fps better.

The bottom line is they are pretty much the same.

Arguably Nvidia has the best drivers.
A lot of the amd cards have been out of stock recently due to mining.
R9 280x is usually about £30 cheaper, but you can pay £45 extra for the EVGA gtx 770 sc and It comes with AC4 Black flag, ss blacklist and Batman arkham origins for free.

It is a no-brainer unless you have all of those games

Gtx 770 is 350 and r9 280x is 400 but they will drop after holidays

ASrock z77 Extreme4 has all the features of a $200-250 CAD mb, but for only $180 CAD.

I'm building with it on christmas day. i5 3570k and gtx 770 sc.

I have heard many good things about it
