DVI-D monitors and cables

now i have a monitor with both vga and dvi ports but my new vga card doesnt have vga port so i bought a switch and connected with a vga cable so now if i bought a dvi cable would it rly differ?

Chances are you won't notice a difference. From a purely technical standpoint, a DVI cable would be better.

If you monitor have vga and dvi, and NEW gpu doesn't have vga, why didn't you connect it with dvi?
