how format a corrupted pendrive

I was installing portabble apps on a pendrive. I moved the PC, after that the pendrive was corrupted. How do I format then pendrive, please

these flash memory devices are toast once they get corrupted i believe... if they don't read and you can't format them, it's trash... unless some here corrects me, which would be great cause my 4Gb phone flash drive recently died.
