not sure if this is a feature or not... but i cannot find it.

i think the forum needs a button at the top of the screen when viewing a post to scroll (or page hop and scroll) to the last response in a given thread.

its kind of irritating to scroll all the way down... post then 2 minutes later when you have a response you click on your followed thread and it takes you back to post 1 where you need to scroll back down through them all again (when there is 30 posts its quite annoying!)

thought it might be the "go to last read post" button but that doesnt do anything as far as i can tell on chrome.

anyways... venting, looking for info if it exists and if not... it should!

On my computers (both the desktop and the laptop in my sig), whenever I click on a followed thread, the site scrolls down to the first new post.

I don't know if it matters, but I'm using Firefox.

if i'm on a page, at the last post and i "refresh" my browser does the same thing (it scrolls to bottom... well... often way down past the post but it at least scrolls...)

just saying a button would make sense.

If you click to the right of your followed thread on the Forum main page, you'll see the number of pages in the thread - click that and you're on the last page and usually at the last post you read as a reminder. This works for me in Firefox, IE and Konqueror

thats not the issue. its when clicking on threads that show up in the "quick followed threads area" on the right sidebar of the page. ie... the fastest and easiest way to quickly respond to a new thread.

when you do that... it doesnt default to the last post.

for the record... yes i know about the "pages" link on the main forum page. that works (takes you to the latest page at least... not scrolling you down) but it isnt exactly what i was looking for. thanks for the idea but sorry to say thats not what i'm really after :)
