Will be a good build, if you can, pass on lunch for a day or two and go the 4770K, and Yes, much better than buying Alienware - on the DRAM get a packaged set of 2 8GB sticks rather than buy single sticks, cost a few extra dollars but will be guaranteed they'll play together, mixing packages can be problematic
