Seems really high, I can pick up a SC 4gb for $320 and the classified for $380. I don't think the 580 is better either.

GTX 580 is past its time. $300 is way to expensive for this.

These are going on ebay for $150-$225, I would easily pay $100 for it.

for 100 u can get a good used 660 and newegg has them refurbed for 149, the 580 and 660 trade blows up and down the benchmarks usually each winning by only a few frames in different games. So if he was willing to come down under the 149 for the 660 I would definitely consider it.

The 580 has far more rendering power than any of the 6 series cards so it would still be very viable to the right user.
This exact card sells on eBay for $260-380 if you look for sold completed listings

yeah and the 7950 is going for almost 500 right now but its only worth like low 200s..i bought mine brand new for 189 with free shipping and that is far superior to the 580

I hate how 7950 and 7970 shot up in price...7950 were below 200 brand new and even less used a little over a month ago. The dare I say foolish bitcoin miners have shot up the price like crazy. I guess they think they're going to get rich off the stuff and be cool and edgy with a new currency *shrug*
