Happy holidays guys. I just have a quick question on these two components.

The
EVGA GeForce GTX 670 4GB GDDR5 Video Card

and the:
ASUS Maximus VI GENE DDR3 1600 Intel Z87 LGA 1150 Motherboard

Are they worth it? My friend gifted this to me for the holidays but I think it's a bit too much for something such as MMOs ( but with this card it could open up possibilities) and I just want to make sure he's spending it wisely.

I mean sure these two components are sleek but there has to be a cheaper alternative with a lower price. I was flaunting my gift to other friends and one of them who's a PC enthusiast called him either stupid or rich. I feel so guilty now.

The motherboard is definitely a high end motherboard. I wouldn't necessarily call him stupid for buying it, but there's definitely a cheaper option.
The GTX 670 is out-dated and the price on that thing is crazy expensive. You can get a much better gpu for the price or a cheaper gpu that will perform well for your MMOs.
