Can i put the inspiron 660 computer parts in this case? http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Black-VM30001W2Z-Towe...
I need this new case for a new radeon 7850 gpu from XFX and a new 600 watt psu from EVGA, as my current case (Inspiron 660 standard case) will not fit these parts. Here is a link to the specs for my computer. http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/dell-inspiron-660-core...

Yes, it is possible, but you have save original case until your new hybrid will work fine - you might need some wiring from original case.
Drop me a link to new video card.

I hope you did not buy the case yet, because you don't need one!
here is why:

XFX Core Edition FX-785A-ZNL4 Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5

Card Dimensions 7.8" x 4.4" x 1.5" where is 7.8" is length of the card, this is what confusing you, now take a look on the next picture and tell me if your case is the same, pay attention to the ruler at the bottom of the picture

As you can see, any card shorter than 9" (inches) will fit, so your XFX choice will fit, correct me if I am wrong.

Regarding power supply - any standard ATX PSU will fit.

If you still decide to move all components to the new case, you might get into the problems with starting your relocated Inspiron - you might have to press F2 on every boot, to boot, or you may not, or similar problems, is it worth it?

Anything else I can help you with?

My computer only is able to fit the bottom part of the graphics card. The top part with the other dvi port will not fit. Here's what it looks like http://imgur.com/PDYH6u9,1QfgRer,erRM5DP,nqESEuR#2 I took pictures of the back of my computer http://imgur.com/PDYH6u9,1QfgRer,erRM5DP,nqESEuR#3, (maybe i am wrong) so if you can see if it will actually fit or not, please tell me. I also took a picture of the inside of my computer. http://imgur.com/PDYH6u9,1QfgRer,erRM5DP,nqESEuR#0
It looks like the same case to me, thought it is a different inspiron, so it might not be exactly the same.

Obviously you have XFX card on hand correct?

I am trying to understand you question. You said top part, you meant dual slot, second slot?

It should mount OK, you have to remove 1 gate next to PCIE to make 2 slot (dual card) to fit, if you have difficulty sticking card inside, it might have to be pushed in firmly, or a few metal parts of the gates (outside opening where DVI ports located) has to be bent.
If this is the problem, I had similar on my Inspiron 570, when I placed MSI 550TI OC Cyclone in, it took me about 20 min to figure it out.

If you have PSU on hand already, you might have to bent a few metal stoppers to fit larger PSU, this is even easier that Video Card.

Did I understood you question correct?

P.S. My picture with ruler is identical to yours, and it was reported that larger cards were snug fit inside, so should yours.

You welcome.

I went through this myself so I understand easier. Don't forget PSU, if yours longer than standard, you will have to bend a few things on the PC case, not PSU, this is it.

Moving to the new case is advisable only if you will have overheat, if not you fine.

Good luck.
