Hello folks!

I've decided to upgrade my LG Flatron M228WD, but I'm a bit lost in the current monitor scene.

I'm looking for a cheap(ish) 22-23" LED monitor, for extensive, everyday use. Mostly office work (long writing sessions and random photoediting) but I would still enjoy playing games once in a while, (sports and racing games. No FPS, so time response is not a major selling point.

As I'm forced to use the monitor from closer range than usual, due to vision issues, I've noticed many screens have horrible uniformity, which causes me troubles when dealing with pictures and in general with shades of colours.
So I'm looking for monitors that won't turn grey into black or cyan into navy blue at the slightest tilt of the head.

Budget is 250$ tops

Any suggestions?

Thank you, and happy holidays!

I would love to help, Do you have a preferred store/site that you would like to buy the monitor from? Just helps as it depends on where you live for the pricing differences. I would recommend any Samsung series 3/5 22-23" monitor or Asus at 1080p, they generally have the best screens and I use a samsung series 5 monitor for reassurance.

I don't really have a favourite webstore, as long as it's a (relatively) well-known one and has reasonable prices. Over the years I've only bought off Pixmania, Amazon and Yeppon though.
I live in Italy but anywhere in Europe is fair game. Once I have a few "candidates" I can go on a long search for the best price, but in all honesty I feel it's hard to judge a monitor without seeing it in use. Tech specs can just tell me so much...
