Dell Inspiron with Windows Vista had issue with not wanting to come out of hibernation (would require reboot). PC will not power on as of this morning. Any ideas what the problem is? Could hibernation be a symptom of issue that led to crash? Thnak you.

What happens when you try to boot it?
If its a laptop, ensure its connected to the power

It's a desktop. I shouldn't have used the term "crash". It usually won't come out of hibernation and I have to force it to shutdown by holding the power button. However, this time I came to the computer and it had powered down on its own and now it will not power on. I shouldn't have said it crashed, a better term would be "dead".

o0o0ohhh i see, if its a hibernation file issue might be worth disabling hibernation restart then enable it to create the file.

So, just to rephrase your current problem:
You can not start your PC now, is it correct?

What happened prior you started having issues with hibernation, any power outages or similar things?

What Dell model you have exactly?

What form factor, processor, any video card, if yes which one, amount of memory - the more info you remember the better.
