Looks good to me, though I would try to fit an SSD into your budget.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah i've been heavily considering it. I just want to get it as soon as possible and saving up for an SSD would delay it by a good bit since i'm saving for it. Once again thank you!

Here's a suggestion then, drop the case to something smaller and cheaper. You can go with a Corsair 400R for 70 bucks. Do you really need a Blu-ray drive? A DVD drive can be had for $20, which often unused these days anyway. Those two changes and bam you have ~$130 to spend on an SSD. That's enough for a very good quality 128GB SSD.

Just something to think about.

Thanks for the info! I'll look into that.

and I'd suggest unless you plan on overclocking i'd drop the after market cooler for the cpu, the stock cooler would do you fine.

Solid build but I think for the OS you def. need an SSD

I've actually started documenting my builds on a personal
blog and have 3 on there to date..

You can check those out if you want to compare or maybe
get some ideas for new builds: www.pcgamerigs.com

Make sure to post your pics once you get it done pls :)

ps. also look into a mini itx board if you don't plan on
upgrading to two cards. the asus Z87I-Deluxe is an
awesome board for Intel 1150..in my opinion, better
than the maximus vi impact in several areas.
