Hi all,

It's been a while since I built myself a PC, so would appreciate some thoughts on the below components, or any potential compatibility issues that I may have missed.
The machine will be used for a bit of gaming (bf4, bioshock infinite etc), possibly some cryptocurrency shenanigans, and just day to day browsing / office tasks after that.
Not too interested in overclocking right now as I think it will be powerful enough for my needs, but may do so at a later date. Hence I thought the stock i5 cooler would be good enough for now.

Gigabyte Z87-DS3H
i5 4670k
8GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3
Gigabyte R9 280X
Crucial 240GB M500 SSD
Corsair CXM750
Zalman Z9 case

So, whaddya think?

Cheers.

Probably not with regards to SLI/CF.

This build comes in at around £780, definitely don't want to go over that. I'm a "casual" user!

Everything is pretty good on your build I changed a few things I would recommend, better quality PSU and also choose a 128 ssd for OS and install your other games on a 1tb HDD. If you want you could order an EVO 212 air cooler it comes with great thermal paste so it would save you on ordering Arctic silver 5

Thanks for the suggestions, take your points on the PSU and SSD. In fact I already have a big disk drive so that'll save a bit more cash too.

However I'm just wondering if you think the Z87-D3H is worth the extra over the Z87-DS3H (only £67.98 on eBuyer)? From what I can tell the only real difference is the amount of 8x PCI-E slots, which I don't think I'll be using anyway.

Cheers.
