Hey!

I recently (2 weeks) built my first gaming PC for $700 including tax (without rebates). I noticed that my computer restarts without any warning. It usually happens when gaming so I thought it was an overheating issue, but all my parts run cool. I monitored using programs that give live temps. Also, it shuts down when I'm not gaming or using intensive programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Premiere. If i keep it running for a long time and put it to sleep mode, nothing. It only happens in the first 10-20 mins after powering it on when I shutdown. After that, it doesn't happen for a really long time (3 days maybe).

Does it happen because of a small "voltage lag" (voltage stops going to PSU for a very very short time but continues after lag), or because my parts randomly become super hot really quick that it auto shuts down? I have no idea what the problem is and still have warranty to return it for a week. I THINK it is because of my hard drive because it randomly stops and Windows freezes, but after a while it goes back to normal creating loud as hell noises...I'm upgrading to a newer HDD soon (Seagate 1TB 7200 RPM, SATA lll)

Some things to keep in mind:
1) CPU is always cool and I applied a pea sized drop of thermal paste
2) I use a HYPER 212 EVO to cool CPU (bought it to overclock later on)
3) I have not manually overclocked my GPU or CPU (GPU is "factory overclocked")
4) I used a small program that I installed on a USB to check if RAM had problems. No problems were found
5) There is a very very little amount of thermal paste "leaking" between the CPU and the 212 EVO's metal square thing. IT DOES NOT touch any part on the motherboard or any pins etc...it only touches the CPU's silver part (that you see from bird's eye view) and the 212 EVO's metal part that touches the top of the CPU.
6) Operating system: Windows 8 Pro (ORIGINAL)

Here are the specs for my system:
CPU: AMD FX 6300 @ 3.5 GHz (NEVER OVERCLOCKED)
GPU: SAPPHIRE 7870 GHz Edition, OC edition, 2GB, DUAL-X (NO CROSSFIRE)
RAM: VIPER XTREME 8GB @ 1600MHz (SINGLE CARD)
MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P
PSU: ULTRA PROFESSIONAL LSP 650W "ATX POWER SUPPLY" (MAX on +12V = 64A)
HARD DRIVE: 750GB, 7200RPM, "Server class", SATA (pretty old and has lowest score in Windows Experience Index: 5.9)
AFTER MARKET COOLER: COOLMASTER HYPER 212 EVO
OTHER: WiFi CARD, CATHODE BLUE LIGHT BAR, MID=TOWER GAMING CASE

PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME FIND OUT THE CULPRIT HERE SO I CAN RETURN EM', OR EXCHANGE EM'!

NOTE: This is a small problem, but pretty annoying when I play games or am doing important tasks (assignments) so other than that I'm happy with my system.

ALL replies are appreciated, and if I forgot anything, don't bother asking! :D
