Can choose "Pick as the solution" on all unsolved threads

In all unsolved threads, I have the option to select an answer as the solution. I thought only the mods and the original poster had this ability. Is it a glitch or did someone give me this power?

Edit: Also, my answer is automatically chosen as the best solution when I reply to a question.

It is an option open to posters with enough time and posts, although unless you feel very strongly that the solution is the best, or it is an old post without a solution, I advise to let the original poster choose.

The automatic BA should not happen.

At 5+ best answers, you have the ability to select best answers on other threads. This is explained in the badge guide which you can find on this very same forum subcategory.
