Hi All,

We have a HTPC that we've had for a number of years. This morning i woke up and the PC pretty much followed this cycle, over and over again

1. Turns On
2. Blue Lights for power and hdd
3. 3 Beeps (with a pause in between)
4. Turns Off
5. Go back to step 1

Whats wrong? Where do I start?

can you give us the specs with the model of the motherboard? and 3 beeps normally means memory problem, remove them, clean them and place them again.

its been a while since i looked at the specs. I know i am running a 64-bit W7

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P
V/C: Asus 4600 (i think, need to verify)
CPU: E7300 ( i think)
ram: 4 gigs

Sorry - when you mean clean - you mean take a cloth and wipe it down?

No, i mean air can and clean the dust from the memory and the memory slot. Also it could mean that your cpu fan its not working properly , open the case and turn it on to see if the fan is moving.

Well, you can either update your full pc or just your ram slot. Its not really that hard to get that ram model its just a tinny bit more expensive than the new ones because of the shortage
