So...I got a new monitor so I could have a better gaming experience. This is the monitor.

My system is relatively stacked! I went from a horrible dell monitor from like 2005, to this monitor. But I have sli gtx680's. So I have no idea why I'm getting severe fps drops and fuzziness in games with just one 1080p monitor.

This is my full system build

Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
HDD: Western digital caviar blue 1tb
SSD: Vertex 4 128gb
CPU: i5 3570k
Ram: corsair vengeance 8gb ddr5
Power supply: Corsair enthusiast gold 850 watt
GPU: SLI GTX 680 signature 2 editions.

I don't understand... before I got this monitor I would play games with no issues. Now I can only play minecraft and get 10-20 fps. I assumed 2 680's was enough to run a single 1080p monitor.

Solution
hdmi will be perfectly fine for 1080p. Dont worry at all about them being warm. AMDs high end gpus for example run in the 90 degree zone with stock cooling.

Yes. SLI is enabled and working. (According to the nvidia control panel.)

The monitor is the only thing that's changed?

That's very strange. The first place to start would be to make sure that Windows successfully found the monitor and that it's set at 60Hz. Check the Nvidia panel and make sure it's set at 60Hz.

Yup. 60Hz. No overheating either. I am very confused.

When im not playing games everything is fine. But whenever I try to play ANY game, I get a solid 10-20 fps and fuzziness. I checked all my hardware and everything seems to be running fine. the VGA isn't working though. I am currently using HDM1 instead of VGA because the VGA isn't working. Does that have something to do with it?

Well it was on the gpu now I moved it to the motherboard. And It didn't fix anything. And now I can't open nvidia control panel. Imma put it back.

When I change the display with the monitor buttons like HDM1, HDMI2 ,VGA, HDMI1 is the only one that works. When I set it to VGA it says VGA Auto adjust And won't get out of that. Then I get black screen

I did not. I will try that now. And I moved the VGA around and it said VGA auto adjust and I actually saw the mouse. But thats it. the mouse then the rest was all black.

Wierdly enough...The VGA still doesn't work...but I moved the Other DVI cable to the gpu and everything seems fine. But I was just playing dayz standalone on 1080p and best settings at 60 fps and the gpu is startin to get a little warm. should I be worried?

Well not that warm. Sorry, I'm not very experienced with high temperatures. I'm not used to them because usually my graphics cards are not even warm to the touch. Well. I don't really need VGA do I? Because HDMI seems pretty good itself.
