In the future maybe, as most Chromebooks seem to only be PCs without Windows. But at this moment, that model is not supported, because it doesn't have a discrete Nvidia card gpu. Intel graphics and AMD are not currently supported.

Could I install a Nvidia gpu to make it work? I was going to install a new gpu anyway.

There's probably no room to install one. Laptops aren't quite as modular as desktops.

You only have 16GB of storage space. Steam OS requires 500. Even if you could fit a new grapics card (which you can't) Chromebooks are way too underpowered for SteamOS.

It should be possible. Not quite easy right now, but once it is released it shouldn't be hard. Even though it's way underpowered for installing games, at least for streaming it should work fine.

Not directly, try installing SOS onto an external SSD and booting off of that, that way you won't need to worry about storage space or if you want to (for some stupid reason) go back to COS. :p

You forget that "a Chromebook is basically useless when it's not connected to the Internet"(Pawn Stars).
