Asus Rampage 2 gene and SATA III

Hello i have MB - Asus Rampage 2 Gene
and i would like to know if this HDD would be compatibile : Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2000GB Advanced Format the HDD have SATA III, but dont know if my old motherboard could support SATA III, Because SATA III says 6gb/s and my board have only 3 gb/s or am i wrong ?

The SATA III is not an issue. It works with SATA II controllers with no issues.
