k9a2 cf with Phenom II X6 1065T

i currently have k9a2-cf mobo and looking to upgrade to Phenom II X6 1065T AKA HDT65TWFK6DGR. I've already look at my mobo compatibility list and its the only 6x not listed. the CPU is 95w just like my Phenom 4x 9600B i know the T1055 will work but anything better? any idea? or suggestions

It should work with a bios update.

i have the latest bios as well. so that's good. My secondary concern is six cores really that needed? i done some reading on muti-threading and seems to me not effectively being utilized in high-end games until recently such as BF4. I'm not wanting to keep the board and will upgrade early 2015 so future proofing is not a factor im looking in a CPU ,but will use it for some time. just trying to get the most horse power out of it.

so suggestions on CPU's would be great!

The 1065t will work very will with your board, and there is no reason not to get 6 cores. They are not used much in games yet, but if you want to listen to music/browse/stream/render, they will help.
