Should i buy gtx 770 or wait for next gen?

the GTX 770 series just came out on may 2013, which was like 8-9 months ago. i feel like i am a little bit late.

considering the fact that the gtx 770 arc is the same as the 680 (GK 104 architecture), a card that came nearly 2 years ago.


i will not be getting the gtx 780 or the 780 Ti because of it insanely huge price increase over the 770 where it does not quantify for the small increase in performance.

any thoughts?

I think that when you are talking about computer parts you can't really say "I'll wait till the next series comes out before buying" because there is always going to be something new coming out. New series come so quickly that you would essentially be waiting for ever. Even if a new series is coming out soon the 770 will still be a very capable card for the coming years.
