Hello there.. i have a PSU here (FSP Aurum 650W 80+Gold) and its a semi-modular psu.. 3 permanent cables are 24pin, 8pin for MOBO and 1 for the my pcie power cable (for my vid card).. the pcie power cable splits into 2 6pins.. though i need these two to power my 7870 vc.. but is it ok to use only 1 cable but splits into 2 6pins or do i need a separate cable for the other 6pin for my VC??,,, tnx a lot

Solution
Your psu is a good quality properly designed unit.
Bad things happen to cheap quality psu's.
You will have no problems using one or two cables.
I suggest you use the fewest possible and tuck the extras out of the main airflow in the case.
