First build for a closet nerd

This is my first build not a computer guy but what to try and make this a hobby. Have done a lot of research and think I have all the right parts for this build. Only part is confusing me or bothering me is the monitor, and motherboards. I want this to not only be for gaming but for everyday use such as internet and music. The reason for the overclocking parts is to make sure any game I choose I can play with no problem and also going for looks. All opinions and comments welcomed.

Nice build mate. Got the same monitor as well, they're awesome considering how cheap they are! You could drop to a small wattage on your PSU to save some cash and you don't really need more than 8 GB RAM for gaming (doesn't scale well for the £'s you spend).

that mobo is ok but not for overclocking, I believe its only a 4 phase design which is not meant for any type of overclock, I would invest in a full atx board with at least a 8 phase vrm design.

id keep the 850 watt psu if you decide to run sli in the future,

What is vrm design?

Its what controlls the voltage to your cpu and memory. Not enough on a higher wattage cpu causes much more heat and stress and limits your overclocking.

My board is 8+2 8 are for the cpu and 2 are dedicated for the memory.
