I am currently working on my build and I've read good things about 1440p monitors but no one seems to care that they are paying over twice as much for a higher resolution. unlike so many other posts I have read.... Is 1440p worth it over a 1080p from a cost perspective. I don't want a Korean model 1440p either. I mean quality/warranty safe hardware. Here are the two monitors I personal feel are options for me.

I have a Korean Yamakasi 1440p monitor here. Bought a a model that guaranteed 0 dead pixel policy and it arrived to me with 0 dead pixels and no back light issues. It costed me $405 and very satisfied and is the exact same thing as the LG panel with a Yamakasi name tag on it. If you want to buy a 1440p monitor with a name like ASUS LG, Dell, or Samsung then it is still worth it in my opinion because I notice so much more pixel density and real estate on my 1440p display vs my 1080p display.
