Graphics card not being recognized and fan at max speed

I downloaded the Final Fantasy 14:A Realm Reborn Benchmark to test the Nvidia Geforce GTX670 FTW LE graphics card that I recently received from EVGA as an RMA (this is not the same graphics card I had previously because I did a cross-ship RMA). When I ran the benchmark, everything worked fine for a few minutes but then the computer shut off. After the computer restarted, the monitor goes into sleep mode and all the fans seemed to run at max.

I tried to see where the problem is, so here is what I found after playing around with my build.
- Only the graphics card fan is at max.
- When the monitor is connected to the graphics card, it goes to sleep.
- When the monitor is connected to the motherboard, it operates normally.
- Device manager shows a Generic VGA Card when the graphics card is put in, and I have all
the drivers installed.
- I tried to re-install all the drivers, but the installation disk does not recognize the graphics

Here are the specs for my computer
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 - 4670K Haswell 3.4GHz
MB: ASUS Z87-A Motherboard
GPU: EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX670 FTW LE
PSU: Corsair CX750M 750W 80 Plus Bronze
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB)
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2
HDD/SDD: Seagate Hybrid Drive ST2000DX001 2TB
Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24B1ST DVD Burner
Monitor: HP W2072a LED-Backlit LCD Monitor
Fans: 2 x Corsair Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition 120mm
2 x Case Fans
Case: Ultra Etorque X4 Mid-Tower Gaming Case

This is my first build, so I am not too knowledgeable.
I really just want the graphics card to work normally again, but it would be great to find a solution for why my computer shut off too.
Thanks for the help.

I would swap in a known working PSU.

I do believe the PSU is probably the reason the computer shut down when I ran the benchmark, but I do not have a PSU handy right now.
If I do change the PSU, then the graphics card will still run really loud with the its fan at max speed no?
  2. My graphics card is in the RMA process. I will run the benchmark again once I get the new card.

Buddy... I do have the same issue... with my computer. My system also randomly shuts down and no display on screen GPU fan goes to full speed. But when i turn everything off and restart again after couple of tried it works fine until another random shutdown occurs. So i am not sure whether its my GPU or PSU. I already sent my GPU once for RMA but they sent me back the same stating no issue with GPU. I have yet to send my PSU, but i feel that its not the issue with PSU, i don't really want to send my well working PSU just because of some hunch, unless i am sure that its my PSU i won't send it for RMA. I forgot to tell there are two types of random shutdown occurs with my PC. (1) When screen goes off immediately and GPU fan goes to 100% speed. At this moment PC power led is still on while HDD led is dim. (2) When PC just turns off entirely, like you have directly turned it off from main switch. At this moment sometimes PC just restarts automatically after few seconds and sometimes its not. So everything happens randomly. Anyway i have Corsair CX600 V2 SMPS.
