SLI GTX 285s or purchase new card for new build

I have 2 EVGA GTX 285s already in my possession. My current rig was built a while back so I want to sell my old parts and put that money towards a new all-purpose rig (with an emphasis on gaming). I would like to future proof the new computer as much as I can but it's really not a huge concern of mine.

Anyways, would it be worth it to just save some money and SLI the two GTX 285s in the new rig or sell them and buy a newer card?

Sell them and get something new. A single GTX 660 (660ti is a SWEET card) or 760 can out-perform those old 285's by a good margin. Also you would be directx 11 and open gl 4.2 compliant with a new card (better for gaming).

The 285s aren't bad, just outdated. If you're building a new rig why not upgrade the GPU?
