PS3 doesn't work with monitor?

I got a new monitor recently, the Benq RL2455HM, and it has been great for PC work/gaming. But I wanted to try my PS3 on it, so I connected it via HDMI, however it just doesn't work, I get "out of range" on the monitor. I have tried resetting the PS3 by holding down the power button and different cables with no luck. I have no idea what is going on, because the PS3 works with HDMI with another TV in the house. I apologise if this is in the wrong section and thank you in advance for any help

well it says your monitor is hdcp compliant so it should work

It's weird. It works on a LG TV. Any idea about the "out of range" message?

Sorry for bumping such an old thread but I didn't think I needed to make a new one and can't find an answer.

I have the same monitor with the same issue, I tried the reset display settings on ps3 by holding the power button and also setting it up on another hdtv first. Did anyone get the ps3 to work with the RL2455HM?
