I would like to open up a pc building business with a friend. I would prefer to be able to do all the work at home. I know how to advertise I know how to build-obviously- and so does my partner. We are both well educated in this field. I am wondering what do you guys recommend on how to receive payment, how to bring the pc to the client, and anything else that I would need to know. Thanks in advance guys

How to receive payment...

If you accept credit cards you will end up paying 3% or so to Visa or MasterCard.

If you don't, some customers will go elsewhere - those with nice reward programs on their credit cards, those who don't have enough money yet to pay cash, those who want the extra guarantees offered by some credit cards

I guess you could try accepting cash only for a while, then get a vendor account with Visa or MC.

It's really easy to receive payment with smartphones with those little plugins, like square. Pretty easy to use. If you can find a good artist, having a logo and a company name would help a lot too, to have some kind of brand.

Nah, but I know a lot of people who do and they love it. I couldn't care less if you swear, but it pushes away customers. Square does charge like a 1% fee, though, iirc.

Alrighty! 1% is nothing. I plan to build PCs for people. And yeah! And no, I obviously do not swear in front of my customers. That's just about the stupidest thing anyone could ever do in a situation like that ahah
