It is an OK build. If I were you, I'd upgrade to an i5 4670K for better performance and future proof. You will have to change the MoBo to a socket LGA1150, so go for and ASUS P- series board. I'd also drop the CPU cooler for a Cooler Master Hyper 212+, because $75 is WAY too much for air cooling. If you want, spend the $75 on a good liquid cooling loop. And finally, unless you are planning on SLI in the future, 750watts is a bit overkill. Grab a 550 or even 650watt PSU, preferably from Corsair, SeaSonic, or XFX.

UPDATE: goofed on ASUS P-edition, get any ASUS Z87 motherboard.

lol wow that just made me sad with the mobo. And jacob, i dont like this gen's haswell im probably going to be waiting for the next gen or just end up getting ivy bridge because i do heavy overclocking. I don't have neough money to build my own water cooling system and i really dislike corsairs water cooling systems, too many reviews of people saying the pump making noise would just annoy me. Phanteks heat more than the noctua by a little bit for a couple more bucks and it goes with my aesthetics in my build. the hyper 212 is what i have in my build rihgt now but i dont like it. Doesn't cool as much as i thought it would.

You've got a decent build there, might look at the ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 (about $120), and unless planning SLI can drop the PSU to a good 500, I agree on the Hyper 212 EVO, you may have too much TC on there, I've used a ton of EVOs and all cool very well have one on my 2500K (at 4.8 24/7) and anopther on my IB, 3570K at 4.7 24/7

Okay guys this is my new and final build that i will buy. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2zacn Im going with noctua because its cheaper than phanteks, weighs less, and it is more quiet. Seeing as new consoles are using 8 core processors i might as well go with the fx 8350 and future proof myself. Please check out this final build. Im going with the 750 watt because its cheaper than the 650 watts believe me or not lol and its +80 gold instead of bronze.

eh a 500 watt psu seems a little skimpy for an oc/gaming build dont you think?

With a single graphics card, a quality 500W PSU is all the power you should need. The use of a 750W PSU allows you to put a second GTX 760 in SLI without upgrading the PSU. Because you are using a high wattage CPU, you could bump the wattage another 50-100W for additional headroom but I don't think it's really needed here, 500W would work.

With your components 500 still leaves headroom for plenty of OCing and adding odds and ends, if you were going a 770, then yes, Id suggest more, for a 770, 780 or 780TI, I generally look to a good 600 (min 42 AMPs on the 12), I like to provide for headroom with PSU recommendations, if thinking SLI/ZFire then it goes up accordingly

I plan on getting this when the 800s gtx series are almost out so i can use the step up program and get one of the lower 800s gtx series. I found a Rosewill Hive 650w psu and i think that would be more than enough for the new cards coming out. According to the psu tier list, the rosewill hive falls under tier 2 so it should be a trustworthy psu!
