Wifi "dongle" to replace USB cable

I'm aware that there are a zillion USB Wifi adapters. These put a machine on Wifi through a connection to the USB port.

But I want sort of the opposite. I want to run a USB 2.0 connection over a wireless link, not a cable. One piece of equipment will be a tablet PC, the other will be a USB digital-to-audio converter. So whatever I use has to look to the second device as if it were connected to the tablet by a USB cable. Can't install drivers or setup Wifi connections on the DAC.

Has anyone seen something like this? Or can I use a common el-cheapo USB Wifi dongle and ad-hoc mode with a computer on one side of the link only?

The device at the link you provided looks less like a WUSB device and more like a server. However, it might do what you want.
