I recently upgraded to a nvidia 660 ti, this goes along with 8GB ram at 1333Mhz and an intel i3 550 at 3.2GHz.
I think the cpu is starting to bottle neck me as when i installed my new card, the fps werent as great as i was expecting, even at medium detail. Is the cpu bottle neck due to this?
If so is there any other recommendations for a better CPU?
I am kind of on a tiny budget and wouldnt like to spend over £70, any cheap amd cards that would be worth upgrading too? thanks for any information on this.

Well I don't think it is due to bottleneck, you might just need to update drivers etc, that cpu should be capable of running that card fine. Although probably doesn't have the power to run newer games that well.

Depends on the game you're playing, really. It could be holding you back, but also could be a different problem all together.

Unfortunately, if you were to move to an AMD chip you're also going to need to replace your motherboard. So, your best bet may be to look into overclocking that chip, if your current setup will support it.
