I am about to order some parts and build a new, small gaming computer. I already have a full size atx desktop but it takes up too much space and I want to connect the computer to my TV so it makes more space for my other computer. I already have a Corsair 550W PSU, a 250 gig HHD, which I am going to reformat, and a XFX HD 6970. These are the other parts I am ordering for my new build -

mobo GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XN-WIFI FM2+ / FM2

And then I plan to buy the AMD Kaveri when it comes out on the 14th, which hopefully it is in my price range (under $70) and Newegg has it. If not, then I plan to get either http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113329
or

I plan to buy 4 gigs of DDR3 RAM, a slim DVD drive, and Windows 7 or 8 - Which OS is better for gaming/better all around?
How do all my parts look? Opinions? Will everything be compatible with each other?

The components look good for your intended use as long as you're not expecting to play demanding games. If the Kaveri doesn't fall into your price range then I would get an A6 CPU instead of the A4s you linked above. This one is the same price as the A4-5300 you posted.

AMD A6-5400K

I think Windows 8.1 is the way to go with a new build. The only thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't include Windows Media Center. I don't know if that matters or not to you, but it's worth mentioning since you said you would be hooking it up to your TV. My PC has a few TV tuners in it and serves as my DVR, so I bought the Windows Media Center add on pack for Windows 8.1 Pro.

Alright thanks, But I'm pretty sure I will be able to play most demanding games (not at the highest resolution though), because I have the 6970 along with the CPU, right? I noticed the L2 Cache is 1MB on the CPU you posted, and on the one I posted the L2 Cache is 4MB. Does this matter? I'm not quiet familiar with L2 Cache and what it does, so is it really that necessary? The CPU looks pretty good.
I'm not really worried about the media center, as I have never actually used it before. Will probable go with Window 8, the OEM copy since it is the cheapest out, haha

Oh, and I just noticed the CPU you posted is a duel core, while the one I posted is a quad core. Which is a better choice to go with?
