radeon 280x or 290x for 42" vizio tv

getting a just for gaming rig and i need to know will a 280x be good enough for 1080p on a 42" hd vizio 120hz tv? or should i spend more to go with the 290x? will be playing bf4 and elder scrolls online.

fx 8350 "10% oc"
16gb 1866 ram
asus m5a97 r2 2.0
vizio 1080p 120hz 42" tv

Perfect for 1080p, a 290X is a waste for 1080p, only starts to stretch its legs at 1440p and above. Screen size doesn't affect anything if thats what you're worried about.

A 280x or even a 770 gtx will play BF4 very well at 1080p. 280x a little better but more$$.

No trusted review of it, not(bronze, Silver, Gold,etx) certified. Solid OEM, but way more (850)
than you need, are you planning on SLI/CF? If not a good quality 650w unit is more than sufficient.

i will xfire eventually, when games will require. would 850 Watt Thermaltake SP-850M 80 PLUS Bronze be a good enough choice?

Yes, you will be able to CF 2 - 280x's with that PSU.
