Well after a few days of researching and talking with people, this is what I've come up with:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2zmnO

My only concern is whether getting the FX-8320 8-core CPU over the FX-6300 6-core CPU is worth it or even a good idea. Could anyone shine some light on that for me?

It's definitely worth getting an 8320 over a 6300.

Well I plan on upgrading this PC in the near future, which case I figured getting the higher end CPU would be good for future upgrades. Would the difference between the two cards make enough difference to be worth downgrading the CPU keeping in mind future upgrades?

Buy a 760 and an 8320. You aren't gonna buy new components every now and then, are you?

The upcoming Kaveri APU needs an FM2+ socket. If that's what you're trying to say.

I wasn't planning on randomly buying new components, more like in the next month or 6 weeks upgrading the GPU because I'll have a few more paychecks to mess with. But I appreciate the input anyway, I will take it into consideration.

So essentially my CPU won't hold any newer GPUs in the near future?

Why? No! Your CPU (Assuming you buy an 8320) is very good. Kaveri is AMD's upcoming APU (CPU+GPU) and has nothing to do with your build (Unless you plan to wait for it and buy it). If you wish to buy it, it is expected to retail at $200 and is going to have integrated graphics equivalent to an HD7770. You CPU is factory unlocked and due to that, I'd say you're good for 3-5 years.

Haha alright you freaked me out there for a sec, I'm still a bit of a noob to a lot of this just have general knowledge. It's definitely good to know I'm good for 3-5 years because that's the exact time frame I was aiming for.

Haha... Make sure you learn overclocking! You won't be able to unleash the processor's true power without that :p
