I have my old computer monitor and I want to connect it up to my tv so that the tv and the monitor have programmes on them.
Any help given will be appreciated.

Your question seems to be asking how to get television programming displaying on your monitor. This is doable in certain circumstances, depending on what hardware you have for both your monitor and cable box. A couple of facts first.

1. We would need to know what connections you have available on your monitor

2. We would need to know whether your monitor has built in speakers, or if it has an audio output from the monitor (to support taking audio from a connection such as HDMI and routing it to external speakers).

3. We would need to know what your source of television programming is, and what outputs it has. Is it a cable box? does it have an output that matches your computer monitor?

Even if the stars align and you have hardware that can connect together natively, (of which the only likely combinations are HD Cablebox with HDMI out and a monitor with HDMI in and either built in speakers or an audio output) keep in mind that the video quality may not be impressive once you've made the connection. I've seen a few instances where the output from a cablebox has looked blotchy or unusual when connected to a monitor.

If you have your heart set on this there are a variety of adapters that can be used between your cable box and monitor depending on the connects that you have (For example Composite or Component to VGA adapters).

Right here is a list of all the features it has involved:
It has inbuilt audio
VGA input
Dvi input
And the power input
That's is it
Any more to tell me will help.
