Hi,
I got enough money for either a PS4 or Xbox one now and I want to buy one.
Which one should i buy? Here are some facts about me that will help you decide.
-Liked the Xbox 360 over the PS3 because of the voice chat and the arcade games. I don't like indie games and I liked that games looked better on the Xbox 360 than the PS3 when developed for both consoles.
-I'm from Sweden, 16 and a man(I'm literally 2 meters so yeah I can call myself a man lol)
-I will only buy games for the console which are better for console then on PC, I own a very high end gaming pc and me and my friends love to gather and play FIFA 14 and NHL 14 and this will be the main use even though games such as GTA V might be purchased. Basically games that are better for console than on pc or games that are good to play with 4-6 people.
-My friends will most likely buy a PS4 in the future, though they might buy a Xbone if I influence them. They will probably buy it in 1-2 years time so I have plenty of time to do that.
-I want to use my PC headset on the console, I don't care how many adapters I have to buy to get my 3,5mm headphone and 3,5mm microphone plugs to work.
-I want something to use on my TV. I have a TV right now that's 42" and hasn't been used for 4 years, when I sold my Xbox 360 and bought a gaming pc my tv has just stood here doing nothing and I want to change that, I have no tv connection to watch regular tv so a console where media is very usable and praised by the manufacturer.
-I'm worried over the fact that the PS4 is Sonys last console, it feels like it may be abandoned after 3-4 years and I want the PS4 to bring updates as long as the xbox does if I'm going to buy it.
-I like the xbox controllers better than the PS3 controllers since I got hands that are I'd say 25 cm tall and 10 cm wide. Although the PS3 controllers are just as usable but I think I'm more accurate with the Xbox.
-I want to use it like an Apple TV. Show youtube clips to my friends, maybe play a podcast on it every once in a while. I love to listen to podcasts while I game and if either one of these consoles could offer that and the other couldn't I'd probably enjoy that the most.
-I'm economic and I like cheap games, I get Tripple A titles right now on PC for MAXIMUM 40 dollars and that is really low here in sweden considering new games for consoles these days cost 100 dollars here.
-I don't care about social networks and that stuff on the console, I use my iPhone for that.
-The games that I enjoy are Battlefield 4, GTA 5, World of Warcraft, FIFA 14.
-I want the servers on the console to be good, I will be hooked up to the Telia Fibre internet connection here in sweden and that hosts games from all over the world and that would be nice to utilize.
-I don't care about console specific games. All those games are pretty bad IMO and there is a better pc version of them, I don't care about no Halo and no Killzone.
-I like good graphics, although it's no dealbreaker between 720p or 1080p. I have my pc for graphic intense games.
Summary: I am not gonna use the console as my main gaming platform, I'm gonna use it to play with my friend IRL with 4-6 controllers FIFA or some other good real life multiplayer game.
Thanks for reading all that and what do you think, am I a Xbox One person or a PS4 guy?

First of all. Please write in paragraphs next time!

Okay, now I am going to answer some of your statements.

"Liked the Xbox 360 over the PS3 because of the voice chat" Don't worry. Both consoles have unified RAM and great online. Chatting and Cross-game chat shouldn't be problem.

"My friends will most likely buy a PS4" If you get a PS4, you can play online with them. Both consoles require payment to play online, so don't convince them to buy both. If they do get an Xbox One later, they will already have their favorite games on their PS4 already.

"I like the xbox controllers better than the PS3 controllers" Both controllers are very new this gen. Try them out at a store to make a final decision.

"I want to use it like an Apple TV. Show youtube clips to my friends, maybe play a podcast on it every once in a while." Given the fact that the PS4 lacks CD playback, MP3 Playback, network media playback, and some other media capabilities, I'd say Xbox One would win in this category.

"I want the servers on the console to be good" Well both consoles have slow online because of all the new users, so I recommend you wait a bit first.

"I don't care about console specific games. All those games are pretty bad IMO and there is a better pc version of them, I don't care about no Halo and no Killzone." Well, okay then. Get multi-platform games for your PC.

"Summary: I am not gonna use the console as my main gaming platform, I'm gonna use it to play with my friend IRL with 4-6 controllers FIFA or some other good real life multiplayer game." So you are only going to use it for local play?

Sounds like you don't really want a next gen console. All your favorite games are on PC, you don't like console exclusives, and you prefer local multiplayer.

Here is what I say: Don't get a next gen console.

If you just want to play Fifa with your friends, get a 4gb Xbox 360, plug a flash drive into it, and play Fifa with your friends and watch Youtube. It seems like you have got it good with your PC, so why fork over $400 or more on a new console?

Anyway, that is what I think you should do.
