Restore Point save and copy to another HDD

Hi.

I made a norton ghost full systrem backup, after restoring to an another HDD the system is not recognize the old restore points. The original system have lot of RP's, but in the ghost system there is none. I tried to copy the original RP's for the new system, but the Windows is not located them. how can I copy and use the old RP's at the new system? I would like to restore an older condition but first just in test system. Any idea!? Thanks.

Norton Ghost & other drive-imaging softwares do not include system restore points in the backup as it's pointless to do so and it just makes the backup file much larger than it needs to be.

The idea is that you save the newest ghost image so that you can quickly restore Windows if it gets screwed up. That makes System Restore redundant - and in any case System Restore often fails to work anyway so you should not rely on it.
