Hey guys I am having an issue with installing a new player in my car. It was a cheaper Kenwood unit. It takes cd's and can read mp3's thats why I got it. Anyways I have the harness that came with the unit but not for the car I figured I'd just hard wire it. Found about 3 or 4 wiring diagram's for the car but I have 2-3 wire colors not included. Like I have an olive green wire a tan wire and no white wires, Also I have 2 yellow wires all of these coming from the car. Getting a car harness is out of the question now since I have clipped the wires. Considering I found the wiring diagrams before I decided this I didnt think I'd have a problem going in. Silly me. If anyone has a link or a suggestion other than taking it to a professional Im all ears. I do not have the cash to get someone else to do it for me. Thanks for anyone who replie's

Do you or someone you know have a multimeter? This would make it much easier to troubleshoot. These are the colors you should be seeing and what they are for:
Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Blue/White
Radio Switched 12V+ Wire: Gray
Radio Ground Wire: Brown
Radio Illumination Wire: Green
Power Antenna Wire: Black
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Pink
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Purple
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Blue
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Black
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Red
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): White
If these don't look right then all you really need are the antenna, power, ground, ignition, and speaker wires to work. Speakers are easy as you can just remove each speaker and and look to see whats hooked up to it. For the ground you can just run a new gound. Power is a constant 12v source. Ignition is 12v when you turn the key on.

unfortunately I dont have a multimeter, I looked at it again and I dont see a pink either there are 2 reds I even cut the tpe holding them together thinking the colors have faded and 1 is red the other is the elusive pink but both are red down to the tape. My brother in law has a soldering iron I contacted him I found the factory harness for the car Im gonna try and re-connect the factory harness to the wires and connect the players wires to the harness I bought to connect to the player harness by color. crossing my fingers that will work.
Oh Wip is there a physical way to check the exposed wires to make sure they will work when connected, Sorry man Im a newb when it comes to car audio if it isnt obvious by now.

Only with a multi meter. Sorry forgot to pick best answer, I hate it when people do that to me. I have a guy who is supposed to bring his over to check the wire's. Anyways my current and best plan so far is I bought some new connector pins for the harness Im going to keep the harness and just re-tip the wires that go into the factory harness I figured that would be a safer more efficient way of going about reconnecting the harness than soldering the wires back onto the harness.
