Hi, I'm a newb when it comes to installing computer components and I'm having trouble with a newly installed R9 270X graphics card (VisionTek Radeon R9 270X graphics card). I also upgraded my PSU to a Seasonic SSR-650RM at the same time since my old PSU didn't have the required PCIE connectors.

When I started up the system my computer made a bunch of beeps and didn't show anything on the monitors, not even a "press F10 for BIOS" screen. Powered down and started up a few times. Opened up the case and saw there was a wire blocking the rotation of one of the fans. I moved the wire and now the fans were rotating but there were no beeps on startup.

Put back the old card (nVidia GTX 550 Ti) and everything is working fine with the new PSU.

I realized after the fact that I didn't uninstall the old graphics card drivers. Would that stop the new graphics card from working?

Any other ideas why the new card might not show anything?
